Dentistry

Dental students have access to dental rooms with 22 dental units, dental stations and mobile phantoms.

Students can individually carry out practical training using special phantoms and a teeth bite simulator. LCD monitors showing the procedures and dental issues they have to deal with have been installed at each station.

What are the characteristics of dental simulation?

  • learning and permanent memorization of preclinical knowledge,
  • using simulators to learn and improve dental skills,
  • shaping teamwork skills,
  • team performance of dental procedures (such as preparation of cavities, their filling or prosthetic procedures),
  • training skills in the field of dental surgery (e.g. tooth extraction),
  • preparation for work with a patient requiring a special approach (e.g. a child),
  • diagnosis of periodontal diseases, scaling and root planing,
  • improvement of communication between doctor and patient.
