ORDER REGULATIONS OF THE EDUCATION AND MEDICAL SIMULATION CENTER OF THE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF SILESIA IN KATOWICE (CDiSM)
Whenever the Regulations refer to:
Authorized person – this means a lecturer, a person conducting classes/courses/trainings and another person authorized on the basis of an agreement concluded by the University,
Participant – this means any person taking part in classes, including students, doctoral students, course/training listeners.
I. General rules
Unauthorized persons are prohibited from entering the control room.
The keys to the rooms are collected and returned by the Authorized Person.
Participants of classes may enter the room only with the consent of the Authorized Person.
During classes, Participants should follow the guidelines of the Authorized Person and the fire safety instructions introduced in a separate Order and Occupational Health and Safety instructions.
II. Rules for using equipment
The University has the right to seek compensation from the Participant for damage to the equipment caused through their fault, in particular in the event of a breach of the provisions set out in these Regulations.
Upon receipt of keys, the Authorized Person is responsible for the entrusted equipment, subject to paragraph 3.
Receiving and returning the key is recorded in the system.
Users of the CDiSM equipment and equipment are required to check the condition of the equipment before starting to use it. Participants are required to immediately report any damage/failures to the equipment noticed before starting and during use to the Authorized Person, who will notify the CDiSM employee. Unauthorized repair of the equipment is prohibited.
III. Rules of participation in simulation classes
- It is forbidden to bring biological material to CDiSM and to perform medical procedures that may result in contamination with such material.
- All sharp objects (needles, scalpels, etc.) should be secured in the containers designated for this purpose after the class.
- Before starting the classes using medical simulation techniques, Participants are required to:
- put on an apron,
- change shoes,
- remove jewelry – in order to protect sensitive elements of simulators, trainers and other equipment susceptible to damage.
On the premises of CDiSM, it is forbidden to record images and sounds, as well as broadcasts, streaming and live coverage without the consent of the Manager of CDiSM.
During the classes, it is forbidden to eat or drink.
IV. Final provisions
With regard to students, the provisions of § 11 section 10 of the Study Regulations apply.
Failure to comply with the provisions set out in these Regulations may result in the issuance of an order to leave the premises of CDiSM and disciplinary liability.
The authorized person is obliged to inform about the violation of the provisions of the CDiSM Employee Regulations.
