Dental students have access to dental rooms with 22 dental units, dental stations and mobile phantoms.
Students can individually carry out practical training using special phantoms and a teeth bite simulator. LCD monitors showing the procedures and dental issues they have to deal with have been installed at each station.
What are the characteristics of dental simulation?
- learning and permanent memorization of preclinical knowledge,
- using simulators to learn and improve dental skills,
- shaping teamwork skills,
- team performance of dental procedures (such as preparation of cavities, their filling or prosthetic procedures),
- training skills in the field of dental surgery (e.g. tooth extraction),
- preparation for work with a patient requiring a special approach (e.g. a child),
- diagnosis of periodontal diseases, scaling and root planing,
- improvement of communication between doctor and patient.
